Dancers Showcase World Heritage

danceThe International Spring Fair, held at Kensington Town Hall in May, was a multisensory entertainment evening - complete with traditional dancers, souvenirs and foods from over 80 countries.

Despite their obvious differences, all the participants had at least a few things in common - not least of which being a commitment to preserving their cultures here in London, their new home.

Chefs Cook Up A Night On The Town

panamaI shot this video when I went to the colourful and exciting International Spring Fair at Kensington Town Hall in London last month.

Over 80 countries were represented there. Everyone was wearing traditional costumes, like the lady from Panama (pictured right) who was wearing the traditional dress of the Central-American country.

Comida Dell'Arte

carbonaraLondon is a hotbed of fine world cuisine - but it usually comes at a price.

So when a friend told me about Comida Mexicana, an understated restaurant around the corner from my flat in Clerkenwell where "you can eat the best spaghetti carbonara in London" for £3.50 (including a can of Coke or whatever tickles your fancy), I was happy to give it a try and boy was I right.

Where The Locals Go

There is so much to see and do in the world's most exciting capital city - but what about those special hidden gems, where only locals go? These two men let us in on their secret haunt.

Clapham Cocktails

Niksons, Northcote RoadAfter a long day in town, there's nothing more refreshing than the watermelon cocktails at Northcote Road gastropub Niksons.  Although there's no outside seating, the walls and windows swing open to let in the evening breeze - it's the al fresco experience in comfy chairs.  The steaks are some of the best in London and the crowd is mostly local a

Tapas In Soho

Eight o'clock. BarraFina - one of my favourite places to eat-and-drink in Soho. Sunday - definitely the day I like Soho the most.

Sitting at BarraFina's tables I usually enjoy that day-after sensation which follows great events - and you weren't there. It's a great place for simple pleasures, like sipping a glass (or more) of cava rosé while chattering on about weak philosophical topics.
