Sunday Is A Day Off?

bathIf you're part of the unfortunate Sunday workers camp, you can only dream about what to do on a Sunday afternoon. Passing out pints to the miserable punters of London, I dream about going back to the sunniest place in the UK - Bath. If you're a visitor in this country seeking respite from the London mayhem, there's no other place that can slow it all down like the gentle hum of this small university town. The lazy students, the artisans, the horticulturalists, the Bohos and the homeless all love lounging around on Bath's fashionable streets.

My personal recommendations: a pint at The Huntsman or a lounge chair in the Sydney Gardens with a view to the Weir.  But for now, I've just overpoured this guy's Fosters, 'put my Irish kinsman to shame' and 'don't smile enough'.  Funny, that.

We're not all as happy to be in the dungeons of Londons' boozers as you are, lads.

A small university town?

As someone who comes from Somerset, can I tell you, Claire, that Bath is not a town and not best known for its univeristy. It's a city and probably best known for its spa. It's a UNESCO World Heriotage Site and has a population of about 90,000. Ta, ta - ZimmJim

Dear ZimmJim or should I say

Dear ZimmJim or should I say Brendan?? I'm sorry if or that I offended you. I should have been more careful with my diction. Nevertheless, I think it's clear from what I wrote that I love Bath a lot, and am aware of it's UNESCo status etc, if that makes it any better. Claire
